The arrival of Solartaxi to Brno was predicted at between 16 and 17 o'clock. Considering the low interest in electric cars against, for example, super sport cars and because this action had not been promoted much, there were only small groups of people waiting at Moravské square, where Louis Palmer was supposed to arrive. Maybe this was also due to the weather, because the heavy clouds did not fortell anything good. When 17 o'clock passed, the nerves increased. Finally shortly after 17:30 the eco colors of his car flashed through the park trees and he was here.
The group of nosy parkers could finally ask about the details of the car and interesting things about the journey.
Question: What is the maximum speed?
L.P.: 90 km/h
Question: How much does this car cost?
L.P.: It is a prototype, so it is difficult to say. About two hundred thousand EUR. But if it was produced in series, the production costs could drop to 6000 EUR.
Question: What is your goal?
L.P.: I want to be the first person to travel around the world on the solar energy. I want to show, that solar energy is the future. And I also wanted to have a better car than a Porsche. And this car really is better than a Porsche. I have got internet connection inside, two cameras and much more, what Porsche does not have. Moreover, if you go in a Porsche, nobody is interested. If you go in this car, the people look at you.
Additional information about the project and Louis Palmer's ideas will be available in the next article. Now you can look at the photos. Click on a photo so see it full size.
