Germans put out of operation ordinary trains. No wonder, there is already third generation of their own high speed trains rushing on their railways. The high speed railways grow rapidly. They could in the Czech too. But there is no will for it. The money is lost, nobody knows where. The high tech are so called corridors, which in fact means, that there are finally straight rails, so one does not have to worry about beeing seasick.

The Czech Railways headquarters have decided, that they could drop a bit from their money pipeline and modernize the cattle carriages in which they transport those, who they don't think much about, so the passengers. A Czech Railways passenger is an unassuming man, non-conflict, not demanding information, useless luxury and loves lost time in all meanings.

To keep the historical value German museum pieces are to be bought from the beginning of the 90's. There are about one hundred of them, though the passengers don't have to worry about too new-fashioned. The railways boast of having about 1000 of wagons older than 30 years from the 2500 of all current classical fast train wagons. So the German new pieces serve rather to make the collection more varied on selected lines. The estimated price of one wagon including the refurbishing is about 120 to 140 million CZK.
