 F1 - Australian Grand Prix (Melbourne)
Australian Grand Prix is the first race of the year 2008 and is held from Friday 14th till Sunday 16th March 2008, when the main race is run. At late summer on the soutern hemisphere the race for the world champion title begins as well as for the constructors cup. Year 2008 brings again many news, on the other hand it is again more commercial. But the fame of F1 cannot be denied, this most famous formula race has atmoshpere, that we will try to describe at least a bit with every race.

 Formel 1 2008
Formula 1 races are the best known automobile theatre. Their main sense is to earn money on the show with fast cars in exotic environments, dramatic situations where often the life is given in chance, dapper divas who accompany the racers and organizers on their each step and to make a bare show of the gained wealth. Everything that has the F1 brand is properly expensive, from the souvenirs, through the tickets to the media rights, while also the organizing circuit must offer bags of money to convince the luxury circus just to come. The season 2008 goes again farther in the effort to make the races more dramatic by the prohibition of the technical active safety elements, which are today already standard even on the cheapest passenger cars, and to attract the spectators and sponsors on a wild play with roaring engines and flying pieces of the automobiles. But the main heros, the racers, must survive as in a movie and thus the passive safety of the cars improves significantly. The brief look into the shine of this world of automobile circus offers our series of short reportages from each event of the season.

 CNG - Kraftstoff des naher Zukunft
Natural gas or CNG is an interesting candidate for the car propulsion in the close future. While at households one can often hardly imagine life without it, the situation with cars is different. Maybe there is scare behing, maybe not enough information, but the fact is that natural gas is discussed more and more. Contrary to other alternative fuels, there exists large infrastructure for it, its qualities are well known and proven. From the ecological point of view it brings important cut in emissions against liquid fuels. Moreover it is much cheaper.

 Webasto - LigHT (Light Hybrid Top) Concept
The Webasto company is well known mainly for the heat devices and independent heating systems for automobiles. But their production is much wider and one of the very important branches is foldable roof systems. In Geneva a concept combining the advantages of soft and hard top was shown.

 Genf 2007 - die Stadt
Geneva is the city of luxury and offers many sights and museums. But by far the fastests objects there are not the automobiles, but elementary particles which are rushing under the city inside various accelerators owned by the CERN research centre. They try to create not only small black holes, for example, there, but on one of their black NeXT computers also the base of todays web was created. On every corner there is a shop window full of luxury watches. Very interesting is also the history of the Geneva lake, whose water level is changing during time and discloses or hides the busy life on its side.

 Genf 2006 - die Stadt
Geneva has many specifics. It is a self-governing canton, while there are not even 200 thousands inhabitants. It boasts of the French origin and wonderful surrounding nature. The look of Geneva during the auto show in 2006 is available in the photogallery.

 Ökobusiness: "Umwelt"-plakette in Deutschalnd für Zentrumeinfahrt
Ecology is becoming a lucrative business. We could even say, that it is going to be one of the most profitable businesses of this century, because much can be hidden behind it. German cities have now discovered a hit called stickers. Who wants to go into their centers must have a sticker stating, that his car is ecologic enough. But the hitch is, that nobody is interested in the car itself. The important thing is only to buy it, even by internet and fill up the pocket of a private company, that sells them. Is it a joke? Unfortunately no, it is the ecobusiness in practice.

 Autosalon Genf 2008 - 78e Salon International de l'Auto
Switzerland hosts each year early the most important automobile event in Europe. It is the famous Salon Auto, which changes the luxury Alpine frankophonic town into the show-case of current automobile production. Few kilometers from Mont Blanc on the side of the crystal clear Lake of Geneva surrounded by the Alps all important manufacturers show their news. This autoshow does not belong to the biggest, but is one of the most attractive. Year 2008 is held from 6th till 16th March 2008.

 Toshiba SCiB - neue Batterien für automobil Applikationen
Greater extent of electric cars is inhibited by missing accus, that would have enough capacity and could be recharged as fast as the fuel tank of a combustion engine propelled car. Toshiba tries to offer a solution with SCiB ion batteries, which promise the charge to 90 percent of capacity in mere 5 minutes.
